WE ARE FREE

I know, my Creator, my merciful King,
that You made us free through love;
I know it well, and thus I humbly ask
that You fill our hearts with You.

There shall be nothing in the world to enslave us,
there shall be no fear, nor anguish, nor pain;
only You, my Lord, shall be our example,
truth, way, life, and salvation.

Our journey is fleeting, a brief passage
leading us to rejoice in Your splendor.
United through faith, and by Your hand,
we shall find You when our mission is fulfilled.

But You know, O God!, that though we are free,
at times we do not choose what is best;
enlighten us!, grant us Your Kingdom!,
and at the end, the embrace of forgiveness.
