SON,
HONEY AND WAX
Son
my flesh is the cradle of your destiny,
within my womb your dawns are conceived;
no sacrifice or sorrow matters
for a soul from God and a body made strong.

I suffer anxiety and anguish through loving you,
bee that gathers nectar from my flowers,
for you will give me the honey of your love
or the wax of the candle of my death.

You suddenly illumined my destiny,
I grow intoxicated with your orange-blossom fragrance
and you are the sunlight upon my path.

You shall be my free offering, bread and wine,
honey and wax from eternal hives,
love’s pardon, the divine gift.
